On 31 May 2009 in Matveyevskyi Zaliv took place the first "Sprint" Rowing Masters Regatta, established by the first president of the Ukrainian Rowing Federation, Honored coach of Ukraine Vyacheslav Evminov. The winners of the races were awarded medals and money prizes.
Henceforth "Sprint" Rowing Masters Regatta will be regularly held every year on the last weekend of May
